In the woods, we are reminded of the scope of the world -- of our smallness when compared to nature's grandiosity. It is humbling and deeply humanizing. During some of the US’s bleakest moments in the COVID Pandemic, I am truly grateful for the beauty and hope I found in the drifting tides along River Rd. which winds its way along the Patapsco River through the forests of rural Maryland.
