Shira Zaid is a multimedia artist creating with video, photo and text. She graduated from Smith College with a double major in art history and film. She is dedicated to mission driven art and has a passion for creating impact oriented work focused on personal stories and the environment. She has created work for Apple, NBC Universal, United Nations NGOs, cyber security start ups, art museums, environmental nonprofits, and more. Much of her creative work focuses on a process driven practice that unfolds over time, often thematically weaving together the of poetics of language and landscape. She's been featured in Five College Film Festivals and Conferences, Lime Hawk Magazine, the Appalachian Trail Journal, the Elsewhere Project, and more. She loves skating, wood working and lively conversations with strangers.
